Ahh Spring, you bring new growth, beauty and sunshine. BUT you also bring a reminder that I need to shave my legs and how desperately I need a pedicure. You can’t win them all…
Speaking of pedicures, I can’t wait until my toes can feel the sunshine and I can walk around in cute shoes once again. Anyone else craving warmer weather?
So for now, we say see you later to the winter boots and hello to the sandals. Here’s a round up of my 5 must-have shoes for Spring!
White Sneakers
I am typically not a sneaker person but I have grown to LOVE how versatile a pair of white sneakers can be. They can be thrown on with a pair of joggers or paired with a dress and have the same effect.
Top Picks: Addidas Grand Court + Chuck Taylor All-Star Converse
Mules
Mules remind me of sneakers’ fun cousin! My most worn shoes last Spring and Fall were definitely mules. I typically find mine at Target and wear them to work. The right mule can complement an outfit in all the right ways!
Top Picks: Sam Edelman Clara Woven + Abound Amelya
Slip On Sandals / Wedges
If you follow any blogger on Instagram you are bound to see the studded Steve Madden sandals and I am no exception to the basic! They may or may not be in my cart already! They are so CUTE yet practical.
Being 5′ nothing, I am a huge fan of wedges. I need all the extra height I can get! They get the job done while being stylish. I love to pair wedges with a maxi dress + denim jacket. I do have to say that I am only a fan of wedges with espadrille bottoms.
A statement sandal or pair of wedges can elevate a casual outfit and give the appearance that you put more effort in than you did. It’s a win win situation!
Top Picks: Steve Madden Travel Clear + Kelly & Kate Federick Espadrille
Open-Toe Block Heels
Block Heels are definitely my heels of choice. I love how stable I feel when wearing them – I can really strut my stuff! They are a more dress option than a sandal so I style them with midi dresses or skirts.
Top Picks: Steve Madden Kemmy + Jessica Simpson Mystie
Rain Boots
Let’s be real…we will probably have more rainy days than sunny and that’s just life. Rain boots are a cute way to save an outfit because we’re not letting anyone rain on our parade! My personal favorite are an olive green pair I purchased from HUNTER around 3 years ago and they have seen a lot of rainy days but, the quality is still the same. They are pricey but definitely worth the splurge!
Top Picks: HUNTER Short Glossy + Chelsea Style Booties
